TRAVELING TO LOS ANGLES

THINGS TO KNOW:

Memorial Weekend means most won’t have to take off work, but flight rates are likely going to be high and get more expensive as the weekend approaches. For those traveling in you may want to arrive on Thursday or stay longer to cut down the flight price tag. We negotiated one of the best hotel rates for the weekend for the hotel room block at Redondo Beach Hotel (same location as wedding ceremony) which is in an optimal location - walkability, beach access, dining options.

The hotel room block provides 20% off the standard room rate for Friday, May 27 and Saturday, May 28th, click here to access. We can add nights to our discounted room block, so let us know if you want to add any nights leading up to or after the wedding and we’ll provide a specific URL to book for your dates at the discounted price.

VaCcination & BOOSTER Requirement:

Assuming things aren’t going to change much from now until then, you’ll be wanting your actual vaccine card handy (or a photo!) to get into restaurants and bars in LA County. All those attending our wedding MUST be vaccinated with booster shots (except super young children who aren’t able to get it).

FROM THE AIRPORT:

Fly into LAX and make your way to Redondo Beach via a 15-20 minute UBER ride. Those getting in anytime on Friday May 27 can call our friend Paul Henton (more details to come). He is graciously being our DVD (Designated Van Driver) for those flying into LAX and wanting a smooth ride to the South Bay. On Saturday or Sunday if you need a little pick me up, he is planning to be on call to ease the burden from one little spot to the next - although pretty much everything is in walking distance. On Monday he’ll be making his way back and forth to LAX and hosting rides.

WHAT TO PACK:

LA beach weather at the end of May can be sunny or it May be gray (but likely no rain). The temperatures will often jump down to the 50’s at night from daytime temps in the low 70’s.
